EXFO's
NR-9200 and NR-9200HR accurately determine the refractive index
profile (RIP), complete core and cladding geometry, mode-field diameter
(MFD) and effective area (Aeff) in a single
experimental setup with very simple fiber preparation. Both units
use the widely recognized refracted near-field and transmitted near-field
methods for complete fiber analysis. For RIP measurements, the NR-9200
delivers a resolution of 1x10-4 and a measurement
uncertainty of 0.001. The NR-9200HR typically brings those values
down to 5x10-5 and 0.0005.
